ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 22 spoilers: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion’s ‘Veritas’ dilemma
We like to close our “Castle” coverage leading up to each new episode with a Canadian promo for the episode, but we have to start this article up with a special warning: There are some pretty big spoilers in what CTV chose to put out there. So read on at your own risk.
In this promo, it is revealed that one of the central issues that Castle and Beckett are going to encounter through “Veritas” is that Vulcan Simmons is dead … and the murder was done with Beckett’s gun. Presumably, anyway. This suddenly makes her into the top suspect, and while we don’t think that Beckett would ever do something like that, she has to convince everyone else of such a thing. (Castle’s been in this position already, so maybe he has some tips.)
It’s pretty easy to imagine that this is all part of some larger conspiracy, and there are higher powers out there now who are so desperate to ensure that Beckett is not a problem that they are willing to do almost anything and everything they can to ensure that she loses all credibility. This should be a great episode, and a chance for Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic to deliver some top-notch performances. There will be more romance in the finale (see the first photo here) between the two of them, as there is still the wedding to think about. For the time being, though, there is a bigger fish to fry who has been causing problems for quite an extensive period of time.
