‘Chicago PD’ finale spoilers: What lies ahead for Sophia Bush, cast in ‘A Beautiful Friendship’

Usually when you see the words “A Beautiful Friendship” when talking about a TV series, you want to expect some good things coming your way. However, this is “Chicago PD.” We really have a hard time imagining things being this easy for this cast.

This episode airing on May 21 will be the end of the show’s first season, and based on what is going to be happening with Lindsay, Voight, and the rest of the other characters, it’s going to be a pretty exciting 60 minutes (or at least 42-43 minutes and then commercials). Take a look at the official synopsis for more details:

“Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) is settling into his new gig on intelligence as Antonio (Jon Seda) is relegated to desk duty while recovering. Lindsay (Sophia Bush) finally realizes she has no way out and confides in Voight (Jason Beghe) for help. Meanwhile Jin (Archie Kao) is confronted about his secret meetings with Stillwell (guest star Ian Bohen). It all comes to a head in the season finale.”

Do we expect a cliffhanger ending here? It’s always hard to predict such things, but we feel like it could be in the cards. The show was renewed a while back, and with there being so many other cop shows out there (even if this one is much more realistic), you have to find some ways to stick out from the mold. So long as it is not pure sensationalism, then we imagine that we will be pretty happy in the end with how the show ties things up one way or the other.
