NBC’s ‘The Voice’ spoilers: What Christina Grimmie, Tess Boyer, Audra McLaughlin will sing

The latest -While it may not be too long before Monday night’s new episode of “The Voice” airs, why not start off the coverage now by sharing the list of songs that are going to be performed over the course of the two hours? This week, there are some legitimately good ones … and then also a few predictable choices and even a couple duds. They can’t all be winners.

Granted, this is what we feel about these songs without hearing them on the show, as we’ll have to get our take on that when the show airs tonight. (These spoilers were reported first by Mjsbigblog.)

Audra McLaughlin, “You Lie” – A straight-down-the-middle country choice for Audra this week. At least Blake Shelton isn’t making her go far away from what her following is this time.

Bria Kelly, “I’m With You” – Really? Why in the world do you want to make her do this Avril Lavigne song other than that she looks a little like a young Avril?

Josh Kaufman, “This Is It” – Admittedly, we actually really like the Kenny Loggins original. We just don’t have any clue how this becomes a moment like “Stay With Me” was on the show last week.

Kristen Merlin, “Let Her Go” – Don’t understand this choice for Shakira. We would’ve went right back to country to really get those fans with you before going off-center with Passenger. Plus, Cole Vosbury kind of owns this song on “The Voice.”

Tess Boyer, “Ain’t It Fun” – We like this choice quite a bit. Paramore’s a modern band that will allow Tess to drift away from just being a ballad singer.

Kat Perkins, “Landslide” – One of our favorite songs ever. That doesn’t mean that this performance will be a winner, but we do have a lot of hope for it.

Delvin Choice, “Bright Lights” – Hooray for blues! This is the sort of song that can make Delvin stand out beyond just a really good singer with a “but” attached to the end of it.

Christina Grimmie, “Hold On, We’re Going Home” – A great choice for Christina. It’s a Drake song that he actually sings in! There’s only a few of these out there that we consider to be great tracks, and this one leaves freedom for her to play.

Jake Worthington, “Run” – Great for Jake to do a George Strait song. Country fans will love it. Everyone else will have a hard time caring.

Sisaundra Lewis, “Oh Sherrie” – Blake is having Sisaundra sing Journey, which makes us think that he is using the Will Schuseter strategy to get her to win this competition.
