MTV’s ‘Awkward.’ season 4, episode 3 preview: Jenna and Matty’s new ‘relationship’

So far this season, “Awkward.” has in part tried to focus on defining what the relationship between Jenna and Matty is, and what it could be in the future. Hopefully, we’ll get an even better sense of this Tuesday night … at least if Jenna steps up and takes the initiative.

In the sneak peek video below, the only thing that we unfortunately get out of is that Matty is still very much convinced that he wants to continue this “friends with benefits” game that he has going on, which keeps him from having to actually explain how he feels about anything while still getting to hook up with. Jenna may get herself back into sophomore Jenna mode, and suddenly find herself okay with something that she is clearly not that okay with.

Meanwhile, that picture above of Jake and Tamara kissing may be getting itself even more outdated. Even though the two are no longer together, she is going to continue to watch his every move and figure out what is going on with him. This is a story that will be interesting to follow just when it comes to common ground. The only real problem that the two had was that they had outgrown one another, and they have to figure out whether or not they can find something that is still valuable there to pursue.

The final teaser that the promo gives is the simple sight of another woman with Matty, which could feasibly make the entire world for Jenna come crumbling down all over again.
