‘Downton Abbey’ season 5 spoilers: Michelle Dockery and a setting
There have been quite a few “Downton Abbey” sightings over the past few days, and this can be attributed mostly to the cast all being out shooting some of the village scenes as of late. These are both necessary but also extremely challenging for producers, since they have to recognize that there are going to be many curious people trying to get a glimpse at what some of their favorite cast members are doing.
We’re going to hold firm here to our policy of not sharing any significant plot spoilers or paparazzi photos, mostly because people should be allowed to do their art without much interruption. So instead of that, let us present you wish a few assorted teasers from some of the outdoor scenes.
1. Church time – We saw many characters around a church, potentially getting ready to go in for a service. Based on the colors (which included Michelle Dockery’s Mary in purple), there’s probably no reason to worry about a grave tragedy.
2. Mary walks alone – There were not clues whatsoever from the filming that suggested that Lady Mary is getting closer to choosing either Charles Blake or Lord Gillingham, though we do feel like the latter is probably the most likely choice since he was at least fully honest from the get-go.
3. Daisy Lewis returns – You probably guessed that Tom’s prospective love interest would be back, and she has been spotted. However, this is no guarantee that they are going to run off and prepare now for a happy ending.
The new season of “Downton Abbey” will premiere on ITV later this year, but we will hopefully continue to have more good stuff to share until then. For more updates just on this show, click here, and you can see everything that we cover at CarterMatt over at the link here.
