‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3, episode 19 preview: Hook in a trunk
Captain Hook is not a guy who likes to do what he is told, and you cannot be that surprised that he hasn’t exactly given in to some of the threats made by Zelena so far. Remember “The Jolly Roger”? At the end of that “Once Upon a Time” episode, our Wicked Witch told him that he needed to kiss Emma and take away her magic, or otherwise she would slowly kill everyone she loves.
For Hook, this is a pretty awful situation. Now that he is being distance, Emma seems to want him more than she ever has before, and there is nothing that he can really even do about it. Finally getting to be with her in turn means that the witch wins, and he probably sees no long-term difference in this and Zelena destroying her and her family in a more immediate sense.
So this is why this scene is all about throwing Colin O’Donoghue’s character in a trunk and then proceeding to threaten him a little bit more. Zelena is certainly well aware already that many of her threats can be backed up when you have the Dark One basically forced into being your right-hand man.
Even with all of this being said, though, there’s no guarantee that Hook is going to go along with this plan. He may find another way with the help of some friends. He better. After all, the only two people who are really capable of stopping the Captain at this point are Emma and the Charming family, who may be able to find a way to keep their child from her (if they are lucky).
