‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: A surprising finale tease
We’re now firmly in that time of year when finales are being teased left and right, and we therefore cannot be too surprised now that one of these shows is “Once Upon a Time.” However, the difference between this show and others is that for the most part, there’s not much that has been revealed about this one just yet. You can assume that the Zelena story will end and that we’ll get a nice cliffhanger, but those are, as we suggested, just assumptions. There is no real indicator one way or the other out there right now.
All we really have to go on for the time being is the following quote from executives producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz to TV Guide, though it does sound particularly epic:
“Hearts will be broken … Hearts will be healed. There will be surprise returns and new arrivals.”
While it may be terribly formulaic for the show to use the end of the season in order to try to tease the arrival of a new world or a new villain, we actually rather like it here. It gives you something tangible to be excited about, though this time we would prefer more of a tease surrounding just an individual character rather than everyone preparing to journey to a new world. You kind of knew the limitations of what Neverland could bring; finding out just a single new character or two still gives you some information, but also leaves the door open for further speculation. So long as we’re not just spending the entire first half of next season in Oz (too predictable), we’ll be happy. We should be finding more about that world out anyway, given that Glinda the Good Witch is coming Sunday.
For now, let us know who you’d like to see return in the finale, or even appear for the first time. Also, you can sign up at the link here to get additional TV magic via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
