‘The Blacklist’ episode 20 preview: Megan Boone, ‘The Kingmaker,’ and Reddington’s secret

What could Raymond Reddington be hiding from Liz Keen? That is the mystery that we will be looking to get to the bottom of when “The Blacklist” returns next week with “The Kingmaker.”

We assume that the title here, as always, is fairly inconsequential thanks to the fact that it is about the Blacklister of the week. The more interesting part of this story is going to be the continuation of what happened with Megan Boone’s character and Tom. While we don’t know if her husband will be appearing in this episode, information he passed down is going to play an integral role. For more proof of that, take a look at the synopsis below:

“After a Politician in Prague is framed for a murder, Red suspects it’s the work of The Kingmaker — a strategist behind the rise of some of the world’s most powerful politicians. While Red helps Liz and the FBI catch him, Liz uncovers a secret that Red’s been keeping from her.”

All in all, the potential is here for this to be yet another game-changer that follows what we saw tonight. While Reddington doesn’t seem to know much about Tom, it does seem like Tom knows something about Red. Why didn’t he just tell her? Maybe it’s one of those situations where she will not believe it until she sees it herself. If she does find something about Red, then what it means is that Tom is suddenly an anti-hero rather than just 100% villain, and even worse, that Liz has almost no one in her life worth trusting … save for maybe the folks at the FBI, but they are almost always business-first.
