‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Rebecca Mader teases Dorothy’s arrival
Given that “Once Upon a Time” has introduced the Wicked Witch and the Wizard himself at this point, in addition to the world of Oz, you had to assume that some more was coming. Luckily, that “more” is going to be turning up sooner rather than later.
You saw during the first preview for Sunday night’s new episode (which you can watch again here, if you haven’t already) that Glinda the Good Witch will be surfacing on the show soon in an effort to help the fairy tale characters in the past. (Her role in Storybrooke, if any, hasn’t been revealed.)
Now, Rebecca Mader has also confirmed that another very familiar face when it comes to the “Oz” universe is going to be showing up in the near future: Dorothy. Speaking per Collider at WonderCon this weekend, Mader presented the following little tease of what will be coming up:
“I’m really glad we get to go back to Oz again … We get a lot of stuff in Oz and we get to meet Glinda any minute now. Glinda and Dorothy are coming. So, that was really fun. That felt like we were in a whole different TV show. It just felt like Once Upon a Time in Oz. There’s really fun stuff coming up with that.”
The real appeal here with this is that Dorothy may actually be either a new character, or something we wouldn’t otherwise see coming. (Personally, we’d love to see Belle as the character, since it would give her something further to do.) As for if you’re going to see the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, or the Cowardly Lion, you basically already have. The Witch took Regina’s heart, Rumpelstiltskin’s brain, and David’s courage. Those ingredients are no coincidence!
Is there anything that you want to see from the Wicked Witch character on “Once Upon a Time” the rest of the way? Share your thoughts below, and head over here if you are interested in getting some hopefully-magical TV updates from us via email!
