‘Orphan Black’ season 2, episode 2 preview: First details on what lies ahead
Clone club members, rejoice! Saturday marked the return of “Orphan Black” to BBC America (or Space, if you’re in Canada), and that means more of an opportunity to dive into the story of Tatiana Maslany’s many characters and this unique, thought-provoking world.
But as you probably realized after catching the premiere last year (especially if you were lucky enough to catch it unspoiled), it was only the tip of the iceberg of what would be coming the rest of the way. This season is no such exception, even if it gets going strong out of the gate. The next new episode is entitled “Governed by Sound Reason and True Religion” (which probably makes this the only show capable of getting away with such a title), and the synopsis below via SpoilerTV offers up some details about Alison, Sarah, and some of the struggles that lie ahead:
“While Alison struggles with Aynsley’s death and Cosima grapples with the worsening symptoms of her mysterious sickness, Sarah enlists Art’s help to find Kira and is shocked when she learns where the trail leads.”
The way in which we are looking at the overall second season is a chance to understand the clones better, but to also gain more insight on the world, its rules, and if it can maintain momentum. It’s so hard to establish a show with such a unique premise, and then actually be able to keep it feeling just as fresh a few years in as it did in the early going when you’d never seen anything quite like it.
What do you think about the title for this next episode, and are you excited to see where the story leads? Share your thoughts below, and be sure to sign up now to get some further updates via our CarterMatt Newsletter. Unlike with this show, there will never be clones mixed in there.
