‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: At least one doctor to be fired
When you consider the way that almost all of the doctors in Seattle end up saying goodbye, it is surprising that getting fired is not something that ranks a little bit higher up on the list. After all, this is how most people lose their jobs or move these days, and it is certainly much more regular occurrence than charter planes crashing or electrocutions.
However, this is “Grey’s Anatomy,” and we suppose that there are only a few occasions in which a firing actually produces some of the drama that you are hoping for. Maybe one of these moments is going to come in the penultimate episode this season entitled “Everything I Do, Nothing Seems to Turn Out Right” (a song by The Decemberists, for those wondering the musical reference), since the short synopsis below (via SpoilerTV) definitely suggests that this is the direction in which things are heading right now:
“Meredith learns Amelia’s true feelings about Seattle; Bailey deals with the consequences of her actions; Callie receives terrible news; news of a firing causes panic among the residents.”
So who could be fired? Cristina is obviously a name that is going to come to mind, but that is thanks mostly to the knowledge that Sandra Oh is leaving. To fire her character, though, especially after her Harper Avery storyline would be almost a slap in the face to those who have followed this role since the beginning. The more likely scenario here is that you are looking at something related to Shane or Leah, given that these two characters are also going to be departing the show prior to season 11.
This is also the third episode featuring Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) since her arrival on Thursday night’s new episode, and with the Bailey story, we just hope that it’s not the same-old medical mistake plot that we’ve had from her lately.
