‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: ‘The Drama in the Queen,’ and a romance for Sweets?

What's ahead -While “Bones” season 9 may be coming near the end of the road, who is to say that the season doesn’t have some great stories in store the rest of the way for even some of its supporting characters? Usually, the actors that are now the two leads get a little left out as you near the finale, but that won’t be the case for this show … at least when it comes to “The Drama in the Queen.”

This installment airs on Monday, April 28, and in addition to some investigating for Booth and Brennan, this also looks like it will be the first important story for the Sweets character in quite a while:

The Jeffersonian team investigates the death of Brian Thomas, the head swim coach at a community college, whose remains were found dumped at the bottom of a well. When possible suspects tell Brennan and Sweets that Brian may have been having an affair, the team digs a little deeper only to find details of Brian’s secret life. Meanwhile, Sweets fills in for Booth in the investigation while Booth prepares to testify before a Congressional sub-committee and the Jeffersonian team gets a new intern (guest star Laura Spencer) who catches Sweets’ attention.”

Here is something else interesting when it comes to the particular guest star in the intern role: Laura Spencer has another gig in a similar role right now on “The Big Bang Theory,” playing the part of Raj’s romantic interest Emily. Of course, we expect this story to be different in so many ways from what is going on with the other show.
