‘Criminal Minds’ season 9 spoilers: First look at ‘Angels,’ Michael Trucco’s appearance
We like to think of it as a duty to try to report on future appearances from “Battlestar Galactica” alum on TV shows, and so we’re therefore here to report that you are going to see more of Michael Trucco on at least the first part of the upcoming season 9 finale of “Criminal Minds.”
Before we do anything else, let’s start off with the details. This episode is entitled “Angels,” and based on the synopsis below via CBS, it doesn’t exactly feel like it is that angelic at all:
“When the BAU is called to Texas to consult on the murders of prostitutes, evidence points to killings with religious overtones. But as they delve further into the investigation, the team could put their lives at risk, on part one of the two-part ninth season finale.”
Specifically, Trucco is going to play the part of Owen McGregor, while one of the other major guest stars for the hour is Brett Cullen in the role of Preacher Mills. In terms of the cast, Esai Morales will also be back as Mateo Cruz for the hour.
On paper, this sounds like one of the more exciting cases of the season, and the only thing we don’t care for is the title. Why is that? The finale is entitled “Demons,” which makes this the most predictably-titled two-part finale in recent memory. Let’s hope that the quality of the story is enough to make up for this. (Also, if the words “Dan Brown” are uttered during these two episodes, our brain may quite possibly explode.)
“Criminal Minds” has been on hiatus, but will return to CBS a little later in the month.
