When we talked about “Castle’s” upcoming episode “That 70’s Show” a little earlier today, we said that there would be some great video footage on the way. Well, we are now very pleased to say that this is upon us!
The clip below should definitely be worthy of a laugh or two, as it features the likes of Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic having to play the likes of 1970s versions of their characters as they interrogate a witness deluded enough into thinking that he is still in the era. There are a number of little, glorious moments from the proceedings here, whether you are talking about the individual introductions to most of the characters, seeing the car sputter along like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, or the sole fact that someone actually thought of writing this story in the first place.
We have no sense whatsoever as to if this will be a good episode, or if it will make any sense. For the time being, though, we will admit to being very entertained. The longer that they can keep this gimmick up, the better. If you are going to distract us from the fact that there is supposed to be a Castle – Beckett wedding ahead and you’re stalling with a case (hey, these things are important for people watching in syndication), we’re at least happy that it is one that seems to be so fun for the costume department. Another image to think about: The look on their faces when they realized that they got to dress the characters up in something other than suits / pantsuits.
