‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 22 preview: Moving past the box mystery

While Tuesday night’s new episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” may not have answered every question that you were hoping to get some more information on, we will give it credit for one thing: Creating one of the most hilarious answers to the “box mystery” possible.

Inside one box was yet another box, and thanks to this, the perfect metaphor for the relationship between Deeks and Kensi was further along. They may be closer now to being in a relationship that’s completely real, but the two still have a little bit of work to do. You can get an opportunity to see some of that in the next new episode “One More Chance,” even if the synopsis below tees up more of a story revolving around the latest events in Sam’s life:

“Sam is convinced that the theft of software for a new unmanned aerial vehicle is connected with the disappearance of the lead engineer’s 10-year-old daughter, a girl Sam once provided protection detail for in Saudi Arabia.”

To be fair, doesn’t it seem right at the moment that Sam does have a moment or two in the sun? He hasn’t had just the focus on him as much as of late, and you have to spread the love around a little bit. Plus, fans of Deeks / Kensi can still sit around and be happy that unlike many other network dramas, this one runs for 24 episodes instead of 22. There will still be plenty of opportunities for that story to be told in a little bit of time. You are just going to have to wait for at least a small stretch, given that “One More Chance” doesn’t air until two weeks from today.
