‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: When will Isaiah Washington’s return air?
Isaiah Washington’s return to “Grey’s Anatomy” has been one of the most-hyped stories out there, but this is also one of those occasions where we don’t really feel like it is actually overkill at all. His exit from the show was obviously one of the most controversial dismissals in the industry over the past couple of decades, and it’s a return that few thought would ever actually happen.
Luckily, we can now confirm that the episode featuring Washington will take place on Thursday, May 1. As we speculated over the weekend, it is for the hour entitled “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” This is an episode that will feature more of Amelia (Caterina Scorsone), and also will feature further conflict when it comes to the bubble boy case that is currently taking the attention of many doctors. Take a look at the official synopsis for the hour below:
“Cristina looks to Meredith for advice as she assesses her future at the hospital. Derek and Amelia work together on a difficult surgery involving conjoined twins. Meanwhile, Jo is spread too thin when she tries to work on several cases at once and Stephanie realizes the truth about Bailey’s bubble boy case.”
With Washington’s Burke showing back up and Cristina talking with her best friend, it’s fair to say that this could be around the time that her decision to leave is made. Heck, we’d be happy if it is made around this time, since it would ensure that we got an opportunity to see a little bit of story regarding her saying goodbye. It wouldn’t be a sudden exit to a character we’ve come to know for a decade.

Cristina has always been my favorite character on this show. I’m glad that they are giving her the attention she deserves in these last few episodes. I’m so pumped up for Isaiah Washington’s return. People make mistakes and carrying a grudge about it is a waste of energy. And it will be really interesting to see if there’s any sort of moment between Burke and Owen.
