‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Will the real Isobel Rochev be revealed soon?

“Arrow” loves their surprises, and they definitely let loose a big one in “Deathstroke” courtesy of who Isobel Rochev really is. This is not just a woman who runs Queen Consolidated now after Oliver Queen handed down his power; instead, she has a history and a stake in what is going on between Oliver and Slade.

At this point, keeping us waiting for further information would be torture … and luckily, the show is not doing that. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg touched on two of the larger theories, such as her being possibly being Slade’s daughter Rose Wilson (something that we initially thought was the case for sure, prior to us calming ourselves down a little bit), or her being some sort of former mistress to Robert Queen (which would be weird, given that she slept with Oliver) or someone with a definitive connection to the Arrow’s history:

“There are always two ways to go … But you will get a lot more about her backstory and her motivations in the next episode.”

No matter who Isobel is, it doesn’t change the fact that Wednesday night’s “The Man Under the Hood” is going to be one of the biggest episodes of the entire series. Not only do you get to learn more about Isobel, but there are also opportunities to really start to uncover whether or not Laurel Lance is going to be okay with finding out so much more of her ex-boyfriend’s history. Finally, this could allow for her a chance to become that interesting character we were hoping for at the time of the show’s pilot episode.
