‘Game of Thrones’ season 4, episode 3 preview: Moving past Jack Gleeson stunner

Joffrey -Game of Thrones” only has ten-episode seasons, so thanks to that, you often get all sorts of opportunities to watch crazy stories unfold and develop in a short amount of time … and did we ever have that when it comes to the Purple Wedding on Sunday night’s episode.

As you know by watching the episode now, Joffrey is dead … and Tyrion is in trouble. Next week’s new episode will examine the future for Peter Dinklage’s character, and also show us more of what Samwell, Arya, and Danaerys are up to after they all took a back seat to the wedding this time around. Take a look at the synopsis below:

“Tyrion ponders his options. Tywin (Charles Dance) extends an olive branch. Sam (John Bradley) realizes Castle Black isn’t safe, and Jon proposes a bold plan. The Hound (Rory McCann) teaches Arya the way things are. Dany chooses her champion.”

This is going to be a crazy rest of the season for sure, especially as word starts to spread about the death of the king. This could be even more motivation for the likes of Stannis and Dany to get to King’s Landing even faster, since this place is in need of a ruler who can actually … well, rule. There aren’t too many of those out there, and Joffrey was clearly not qualified for the title.

We’ll have a promo for the episode below when it is available, so be on the lookout for that. We’re just as hooked on the show as ever!
