‘The X Factor’ notes: Alex & Sierra, Ella Henderson, and videos
This edition of “The X Factor” notes is really all about one thing: Video hype, whether you are talking about someone from the US show, or an contestant featured on the British version over a year ago. (We’ll have more on Ella Henderson in a bit.)
Alex & Sierra getting set for music video – The reigning and final champs of the American version of the show are at least starting to come up with ideas for what could be their first-ever music video, which is unfortunately still at least a little ways away from coming out given that we don’t even know yet what the name of their first single will be.
So if you’re anxious to wait, maybe the following message from the two via Twitter will help to put a smile on your face:
“brainstorming ideas for our first music video………….. AHHH. seems like just yesterday we were making videos in deserted stairwells. :)”
Even if you are insanely curious, you should know some more information in the next couple of months. Based on all the work they’ve already done, there is no reason to think that the rest of the process will take forever.
Ella’s video tease – In the video below, you can get a first look at a remixed version of “Ghost,” the new single that the 2012 “X Factor” UK star is going to be releasing a little later this year. Ella’s journey after the show has been an interesting one. Syco and Sony chose to take their time cultivating her into an artist that could be a hitmaker, rather than just rushing her to make music right away to capitalize on her success on the show.
This was the right move here, mostly because Ella never really got a fair shot on the show to begin with. She was eliminated well before her time, and fell victim to the frequent fact that it is very difficult for young women to win this show for whatever reason (with Little Mix being the recent exception.)
