‘The Tomorrow People’ spoilers: Unlikely alliances and John / Astrid scoop

“The Tomorrow People” is starting to see the light at the end of the horizon … at least in the form of the season 1 finale. And with the show’s own future on The CW currently unclear thanks to ratings that are in the middle of the pack, they better find a way to have this show end on a high note.

Therefore, episodes like the upcoming April 28 episode “Kill Switch” are all the more important thanks to some of the insanity that we predict coming. The Tomorrow PEople and parts of Ultra could actually be working together, Russell will continue to be reckless, and Stephen’s father could have a bigger role in what transpires. The biggest warning that we have for you now is that there are spoilers ahead. If you want to stay in the dark about upcoming events, we suggest you don’t read the synopsis below:

“When the Tomorrow People learn the truth about the serum they were injected with, Stephen (Robbie Amell) and Cara (Peyton List) attempt to buy time for Jedikiah (Mark Pellegrino) while he tries to create a possible antidote. Growing impatient, Russell (Aaron Yoo) and the other rogue Tomorrow People make a rash decision to sacrifice Roger (guest star Jeffrey Pierce) to Ultra for their own safety. Meanwhile, John (Luke Mitchell) is having a hard time figuring out his new role and the only one he can turn to for advice is Astrid (Madeleine Mantock).”

We cannot figure out just what we want when it comes to John and Astrid. They’re fun characters to watch together, but we can’t get behind the idea of shipping them. Just too creepy, since he looks and acts way too old for her.
