‘Big Brother Canada 2’ interview: Sarah Miller on alliances, working with Sabrina

Sarah Miller -Sarah Miller is someone who had a great thing going for most of the season on “Big Brother Canada 2.” Given that she had many friends in the house, was a smart player, and had bigger shields in front of her thanks to the First Five, there were not that many reasons for anyone to get rid of her early in the game … at least in theory. That changed pretty quickly the moment after Kenny won the Power of Veto earlier in the week.

Sarah was the first person sent home during the double-eviction Thursday night, and despite being out of a game that she loves, she still was happy to be able to take part in a game that she loves. The following Q&A session took place in a conference call with reporters on Friday.

CarterMatt.com – Let’s start with a question that we also asked Kenny about. It seems like one of the problems within the First Five was that there weren’t always that much of a backup plan or another alliance. Is that something you wish you had worked on more?

Sarah Miller – Yeah, [like with Arlie]. I never realized how invested he was in the backup alliance. I thought he was much more First Five than he really was, but I was working with that a little bit on the side. I think what happened was that I was trying to get Kenny involved in that backup alliance and they just weren’t having it and they realized that I had such a strong loyalty to him. That’s where it fell apart for me.

How difficult was it for you to try to handle someone like Sabrina? On both the show and the live feeds she was made out to look somewhat insecure, or in constant need of reassurance.

She’s very insecure, and a lot of time in the house was spent on her. It was extremely draining, and I really wish I didn’t have to do that. To be honest, when they were on the block, I tried so hard to get the house to switch and [vote out] Sabrina, because I knew just how much of the life she was sucking out of me every day. She just needs so much more hand-holding than I was willing to give.

What’s your take now on Jon and Neda? They are seen as a pair, and with you and Kenny out of the game, do you think that they are huge targets?

I think so, because the houseguests fully know that they are not going to turn on each other. They are trying to play this game that Jon doesn’t know everything about Neda and Neda doesn’t know everything about Jon, but we all know that it’s not true.
