‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: More connections to Stephen Moyer’s Bill

What's up ahead? -There’s a ton of ground to cover on “True Blood” season 7, with it being the final season of the show and all, and for that reason, it’s really not too surprising that the show is also looking to the past as well as the future. Think about the concept of legacy for a minute; what sort of legacy are you going to leave on the world? In order to understand that, sometimes it helps to know what came before you.

According to a new report from E! News, You are going to meet William Compton Sr. and also Bill’s mother Margaret back in 1855. Were they good parents? This is something we’ll find a little bit more about. Also, Shannon Lucia is set to return as Bill’s wife Caroline Compton, and you’ll get to witness her giving birth to one of his children. We know that his bloodline (pun intended) does carry through to the modern day, mostly thanks to the fact that Portia is running around town somewhere (even if you don’t often see her).

Now, how about a new character? The same report also teases that you are going to meet an attractive microbiologist by the name of Brigette. Hopefully this isn’t going to be a Christmas Jones – “The World is Not Enough” situation here where it’s a terrible / unrealistic character, and hopefully their role will be somehow tied to the Hepatitis V infection going around. We assume that it’s possible that this disease could end up being the primary adversary of the season, but that’d be rather boring. We personally much prefer an enemy that is a little bit more tangible like another Russell Edgington or Sarah Newlin. (At least it is already known that Sarah’s story is currently far from over.)

“True Blood” will return to HBO with all-new episodes starting up on Sunday, June 25 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. Want to sink your fangs into some more TV updates? Then we suggest just signing up now for our CarterMatt Newsletter.
