ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 finale spoilers: Episode 18, Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, and elections

Take a look -Scandal” only has 18 episodes this season thanks to Kerry Washington’s pregnancy, and due to that, we’re unfortunately having to say goodbye to the show courtesy of the episode airing on ABC next week.

Luckily, we do at least now have some of the first details about what you can expect from “The Price of Free and Fair Election.” That title is alone pretty ironic, especially when you consider some of the totally unfair things that happened with the last one.

Now, let’s get to sharing the full synopsis below:

“Election Day has arrived and nothing is off limits as the candidates try to capture votes. Meanwhile, Olivia tries to understand Maya’s motives and Charlie makes a very surprising move.”

The promo first of all makes one thing rather clear: The bomb does seem to have gone off, and while Cyrus protected Fitz from being inside the church, he could not do the same for many others. Expect a high body count, but then also struggles as to how the election can really move forward in the wake of such tragedy. Politics can be a very dirty game, and don’t be too shocked at all to see Sally Langston try to use some of this in her campaign against the President.

We expect shockers in the finale for sure, but we also need reminders that these people are still humans. The most shocking thing at this point that creator Shonda Rhimes could do is actually take a minute and allow her characters to be emotional, and not force them to run around and murder each other.
