‘Ink Master’ season 4, episode 7 podcast: Kyle Dunbar, Chris Nunez and tension
There has been an underlying tension between “Ink Master” contestant Kyle Dunbar and judge Chris Nunez. What exactly is the problem between them? For the most part it seems that Chris feels that pushing Kyle harder means he sees better tattoo work out of him, where on Kyle’s side it’s looks more like whatever he tattoos, Chris will always hate it (and from a viewer’s side it looks like Kyle is getting sandbagged by Chris and there’s no way Kyle was ever going to have a fair chance.)
On this week’s edition of the CarterMatt podcast we are going to be looking at Chris and Kyle’s relationship from the beginning of season 3 to where we are now. We are also going to be taking a deeper look into Kyle’s tattoos this season in comparison to last season (which we honestly feel have improved) to really see if Chris is justified in his harsh critiques, or if Chris just has a problem with Kyle in general.
We will also be talking about the second double elimination in a row where we lost Jim Francis and King Ruck and how Jim told Halo about being partially color blind, but never revealed that fact to the judges. Should Jim have told them, or is it something that shouldn’t make a difference? All of that and more will be covered in the podcast, so be sure to tune in below!

I have been watching Ink Master since the first show. I must say that I have always thought Nunez should never have been a judge. And I’ve watched how he sandbagged Dunbar this season and last season. It appears to me that he has had it in for Dunbar almost from the beginning. But, I also have to say that Dunbar should never have acted the way he did. Sure Nunez deserves a damned good ass whipping but not by Dunbar. Nunez should not return as a judge if there is a next season. He’s not an Ink Master.

I have to agree, the judges are the biggest problem this season, especially Nunez. He’s made Kyle a target and while Kyle may or may not have won the season on his own merit, with Chris on the panel… Kyle never had a fair chance. Also, Chris is not a master at his craft, they need more well rounded judges like on “Best Ink” that give real criticism instead of just saying “wtf”. That helps nothing.
