ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6 spoilers: Preparing for the end … for now
“Castle” is a show that takes a lot of time to work on. Think about it: You’ve got 23 episodes to make in a year, and there are a good many of these said episodes that are tough to shoot.
So while in our dreams getting a new episode is great, that’s not reality … and we’d never want to put the actors through that sort of work, anyway. The show is wrapping up filming for season 6 in the days ahead, and then going off and enjoying some much-needed rest … at least for the cast. The crazy thing about television is that everyone really has different departure dates from work depending on what you do.
So what happens from here? That’s really what this article is about. The show will likely finish its run this spring with some top-secret scenes that we’d never spoil for you here (some things are better off that way, and those snoops with the photos this past summer took the fun out of the cliffhanger for everyone). From there, we have to wait until the renewal announcement comes in. It’s somewhat of a bummer that filming will likely wrap before a decision is “officially” made, but we imagine that most on the show have a feeling they’ll be back. The ratings support it, the fans support it, and there’s probably enough story to tell for at least another year.
Filming for a seventh season would most likely start in July, which gives the cast around three months off. The writers, of course, would start work long before then to prepare for what lies ahead.

I would like to see an end to Kate’s mother’s case. Bracken and Kate are heading for a showdown, and I would like to see that end with Bracken being exposed for what he is or maybe even dying in the confrontation that uncovers him! I also would love it if Vulcan Simmons would get some of what he gave Kate! That creep needs to suffer!
I also hope that Victoria Gates has a hand in taking Bracken and Simmons and Elena and all the rest of those creeps down! I want Victoria to be the same kind of boss that Roy was! I think she is family now, too!
Their wedding! I would love to see them have their wedding this spring like Kate wanted! I want to see Kate in that gown again! And if she decides to wear her mother’s gown, I won’t be upset at all! Just as long as Jim takes her down the aisle and Richard Castle is waiting for her at the altar!
