TV quick hits: Ultimate Warrior dies, ‘2 Broke Girls,’ ‘Under the Dome,’ ‘Chicago PD’ videos

We’ll start today’s TV Quick Hits with sad news for those who grew up watching WCW, WWE, or any other wrestling program: The Ultimate Warrior has passed away at the age of 54. He was survived by his wife Dana and two children, and had just appeared a few days earlier at Raw in order to commemorate being inducted to the WWE Hall of Fame.

We’re one of those people who grew up watching the Warrior, and his bouts with Hulk Hogan were some of the most entertaining matches in history. Based on reports that are coming in now via TMZ, heart problems or some other sudden medical event may be the cause of death, but it will take some time before the news is confirmed.

The wrestling community has come out in support of the Warrior, whether it be Triple H (one of the first to announce the news), our longtime favorite Kevin Nash, or Hulk himself. The two had a contentious relationship in recent years, so the message from him on Twitter is even more meaningful than most:

“We talked, both forgave each other, we hugged, we shook hands as we told each other I love you, I am so sad, God bless his beautiful family HH.”

Now, onto some promos and sneak peeks…

Lindsay on “2 Broke Girls” – Lindsay Lohan will appear on the sitcom Monday as it moves to its new timeslot at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, which was previously held by “How I Met Your Mother.” This is probably not anything more than stunt casting, and we just hope that Lindsay is better than she’s been the past few times that we’ve seen her on TV shows.

“Under the Dome” – The show may have been great at times during the first season, but this promo is seriously awful. “There’s no place like dome” as a tagline, seriously? The dome trying to tell you something? This show has too many production values to be trying to be this bad. The only good thing in this promo is reminding us that Stephen King wrote the June 30 premiere.

“Chicago PD” – Take a look at tonight’s new episode below; we’ll be back after it airs with a full review of it, but the impression that we get from this show first and foremost right now is that it’s always snowy in Chicago.
