TV quick hits: ‘The Originals’ spoilers, Barbara Walters’ farewell, ‘House of Cards,’ Paul Rudd news
Barbara Walters last day of “The View” – The legendary news anchor has finally decided upon a resignation date, and we finally have a better idea as to when that is going to be: May 16. She confirmed that on the show this week in a new video.
Will Barbara be missed? Sure, and by the time this retirement happens, you will probably have this fact so ingrained into your brain it may even top what happens with David Letterman over the course of the next twelve or so months. We know that there’ll be enough big-name guests who stop by “The View” that they’ll try to do their best to make it into the “TV event of the all-time, the century, or whatever other indefinite period they come up with.”
“The Originals” scoop – Just in case you are missing the new episode of “The Originals” that airs on The CW Tuesday night, maybe this story will make the waiting better. Per E! News, the character of Cassie is going to turn up and cause a little more chaos for Klaus. We’d say that this is definitely not good news for him, but since when have we seen something on the show that is good news for him? The main reason she’s a threat is simply because she’s not going to fall victim to the same stunts as Davina.
“House of Cards” and a reprieve – For those of you who were worried that “House of Cards” could be forced to move away from its present-day filming location, don’t be. Sources confirm that the House of Delegates in Maryland have agreed to up tax breaks and incentives in the state, which will help to keep the Netflix series firmly planted there.
Billy Eichner being Billy Eichner – This is from this week’s “Billy on the Street” airing on Fuse, and it features Paul Rudd. Given that we do not want to ruin the hype surrounding this video and all of its awesomeness, we’ll just stop talking now and get to posting.
