Tonight’s “Once Upon a Time” was an example of fine storytelling, as “It’s Not Easy Being Green” was a great explanation of where Rebecca Mader’s Zelena came from, what her goals are, and just what she needs in order for her to be successful in her plan.
So why go from this to a story largely geared around Captain Hook? This is something that “The Jolly Roger” will hopefully answer when it airs on ABC next Sunday. In the promo that aired after the episode, we were promised a story that will feature Hook in serious danger after he tries to go toe-to-toe with the Wicked Witch. Also, expect more in the way of his life aboard the ship, his feelings towards Emma, and he is trying to do to win her over.
Do we feel like Hook is going to be completely aggressive when it comes to winning her heart? Not really. He is an intelligent, crafty sort, and he knows not to be too aggressive when she is in mourning. With that being said, though, it will surely not ever be erased from his memory. Hook is a man of many goals, and not all of them have surely been revealed yet. He’s also been through a lot, and had plenty of women who have thrown himself at him over the years. Maybe that is what makes Emma so special to him.
