‘The Voice’ UK finale preview: Is Sally Barker or Christina Marie the favorite?
So is anyone in the finale for the show this year poised to do that? Out of the four artists remaining, Christina Marie has the best shot with her combination of talent, personality, and presence. She has proven that she can withstand obstacles, and be consistent performing live.
Meanwhile, Sally Barker is more of the sentimental choice. We feel like she actually could sell records (we’ve seen older women find success in Britain), even if she doesn’t get much radio play. Also, her voice is so enthralling that we could see her doing very well on concert tours and just getting audiences to connect with her and her story. If we had to pick a personal favorite, she’d probably be it. We’ve conceded at this point that “The Voice” isn’t really so much about finding a lasting star as it is entertainment. Therefore, we’re not necessarily voting on who we think could be the biggest star; instead, it is who entertains us the most.
As for why we haven’t really mentioned Jermain Jackman and Jamie Johnson, it’s because save for the alliteration, there isn’t anything there that is particularly revolutionary.
