‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5 spoilers: Will Daniela Ruah’s Kensi return to the field?

At the end of this past episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” there were emotional moments aplenty as we ended up finally seeing Kensi return to America after spending a very good chunk of the season on a mission in Afghanistan.

But even though the character is returning home now, that does not mean the story or the drama is over at all. We know already that the next new episode will look at whether or not Daniela Ruah’s character is prepared to return to the field, and following that, we now have confirmation as to just when that will happen. The upcoming April 15 episode is entitled “Three Hearts,” and the synopsis below teases just what you can expect:

“When an undercover NCIS agent is suspected of working for the smuggler he’s supposed to be investigating, the team takes him into custody to find his true intentions. Meanwhile, Kensi and Deeks discuss their personal relationship as Kensi returns to the field.”

The first thing to us that clearly stands out here is the name, mostly because you have to wonder who the third heart is in the event that the other two your are talking about belong to Deeks and Kensi. Also, you have to wonder if this will be the episode where these two finally become an item. The thing that we will always be afraid of for the two of them here is that we do run into another situation similar to what we had with Ziva and Tony on the flagship series where you waited far too long to get them together, and when you were in a position where you were losing one of them from the show, you had to rush things.
