‘Downton Abbey’ season 5 notes: Laura Carmichael – Ed Speleers updates

While you are waiting for “Downton Abbey” season 5 to premiere in either the United Kingdom, America, or anywhere else that you watch the series from, why not get a few more assorted updates on what the cast is up to? This has always been the purpose of some of our “notes” articles, and we are back with another edition here to give you a little more insight into what some of the actors behind the series are up to in between weeks of filming.

Laura Carmichael’s surprising fashion – Most of the series’ stars have drawn some attention for their fashion choices away from the show over the past couple of years, and Laura Carmichael definitely had that while at the Glamour of Italian Fashion exhibition located at the V&A recently. You can see in some photos (per the Express) that she has a look that definitely is a little risque for a woman known to be one of the more conservative members of the Crawley family when it comes to fashion.

Who knows? Maybe this is an attempt for her to either feel good doing something new, or reminding everyone that being Lady Edith is a job, and not indicative of the person that she is in her everyday life.

Ed Speleers’ new campaign – Now, we turn from fashion to charity. Ed Speleers, otherwise known as Jimmy on the show, has been a big contributor to causes over the past few years. He’s also been an avid runner in the London Marathon, and often chooses to combine the two.
