‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3, episode 16 video: The Zelena – Regina standoff begins

On Sunday night’s “Once Upon a Time” episode, we may finally get the answer to a question that has plagued the show for a few weeks: What in the world is going on with Zelena? We understand that she is a Wicked Witch and a powerful force to be reckoned with, but it has never made a whole lot of sense at all as to why in the world she would want to punish her sister Regina.

Sadly, you’re more likely to get an answer to this during the episode itself than you are from the sneak peek below, where Zelena pretty-cruelly lets Regina know that the biggest thing that she really has against her is the simple fact that she was born in the first place. Why so hurtful, Zelena?

Everyone else in the town, as always, seems to be cowering in fear of what she could do next? Why don’t they just all mob her? We wonder these sort of questions at times, but obviously the fear here is that Rebecca Mader’s character is even more powerful and fearsome than the woman otherwise known as the Evil Queen, and the last thing that they want to do is get caught in the fire. At least this episode is going to explore more of the origins of Zelena, including why she decided to leave Oz in the first place and some of what it was like for her growing up. Our leading theory right now is that Regina’s birth somehow caused her entire world to crumble, and she has been holding onto that her whole life.
