MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4 spoilers: New details on premiere!

Tuesday, April 15 marks the season premiere of MTV’s “Awkward,” and as we get closer to finding out what lies ahead, the network is becoming more and more kind when it comes to letting some details into the universe … including the first sort-of-synopsis for the first episode entitled “No Woman is an Island.” (Apparently, people being islands is only applicable in the world of Simon & Garfunkel … putting that out there for the huge crossover demographic of “Awkward” fans and those who listen to 1960s music.)

This synopsis comes courtesy of SpoilerTV, and in all honesty, it is about as short as Tamara’s attention span from time to time:

“Jenna is determined to make a fresh start; lingering feelings for Matty harden Jenna’s resolve.”

So if you really thought that Jenna and Matty were ever going to really drift that far away from the idea of being with one another, this synopsis should really serve as a giant reminder that it’s not happening. These two continue to be in each other’s worlds, and they are going to see each other daily. That’s what happens when you are a part of a high school. While in life you can get away from people who you don’t want to be around anymore, that’s no quite as easy to do in school.

Then again, Jenna and Matty probably do still want to be around each other. That’s part of the problem if they really are thinking about moving on in their personal live someday, as they just don’t seem to be capable of completely getting over each other. For some of the season ahead, one of their big themes is going to be “friends with benefits.”
