“Call the Midwife” season 3 has just started up airing on PBS, and if you haven’t started watching the series yet, here’s our advice: Go back and watch the premiere! It’s not a show that really forces you to watch the first two years to understand what is going on, and you should be able to dive in and start to enjoy some of the characters.
In the video below from the U.S. network, you can also get a better opportunity to see what some of the actors all think about their characters, and hoe they relate to them personally. Some of people specifically interviewed here are Jessica Raine (Jenny), Miranda Hart (Chummy), and Helen George (Trixie).
Both Jessica and Helen in particular say that they admire their characters’ bravery and sense of self, and that is something that you will see from the two of them as they move forward this season. There are decisions to be made both on the job in their personal lives, and some of them are very risky. There are also some decisions that just so happen to be made for you, but this can be said with almost any character on any TV show.
We’re going to have a larger preview for Sunday night’s new episode over the weekend, but what we can tell you that there is a mixture of light moments and also some heavy drama. Like with “Grey’s Anatomy,” the show excels at really drawing you into the worlds of some of the expecting mothers, even though many of who are not going through easy times in their lives.
