‘The Originals’ spoilers: Charles Michael Davis on Marcel flashbacks

Want to see more of Marcel on “The Originals“? In the wake of the departure of Rebekah, you can expect to see Charles Michael Davis have an even more important role than ever. The actor (who we appreciate more than ever after that dapper jacket he wore to PaleyFest) is getting an opportunity to dive deeper into his character’s past a little later in the season, and we have a few more details now on just what that will contain.

Speaking to E! News, Davis explained something that makes these flashbacks even more interested in that when they were originally filmed, they were actually going to be for a different part of the season:

“We’re doing them now for episode 20 … It’s actually flashbacks we were going to use in an earlier episode and the great thing was they watched them and they liked them so much they said we want to put them back. I’m really grateful for that!”

While you never want to say too much about any upcoming plotline, what we will say for the time being is that they will touch on a little bit more of Marcel’s past with Klaus and give you an understanding of why their relationship is the way that it is. After all, these two guys have a history that has led to them being the way that they are now … and it involved some pretty nasty situations along the way.

Sadly, you’re not going to see any more of “The Originals” for a while thanks to the show’s present hiatus.
