‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Lana Parrilla cautious on Regina romance

The stars are aligned on “Once Upon a Time” season 3 right now for Regina Mills to fall in love, but there is still somehow a pretty significant problem right about now: She has to be able to convince herself that it is okay to love someone. There is so much energy going into solving the problems at Storybrooke right now, and that also includes her trying to ensure that she has Henry back in some significant capacity.

Sooner or later, we are going to meet Robin Hood in Storybrooke in addition to the side of him that we have seen during some of the fairy-tale flashbacks so far. So what could these stories lead to? We’ll let Lana Parrilla’s comments to TV Guide do some of the explaining for us:

“She’s terrified. She’s afraid to open her heart and afraid to let love in. So many things have been taken away from her. … She doesn’t believe that… this love has the potential to be as deep and real as she dreamt.”

Will there ever be a moment where Regina realizes that this man she has been traveling with is actually destined to be with her? We feel like it will rise to the surface eventually, mostly because there is a certain trigger that she is bound to come across at some point: The tattoo. That is the big indicator about everything thanks to what Tinker Bell said, and then at that point her issues will mostly just coe down to whether or not she wants to believe what the fairy said to her.
