‘Big Brother Canada 2’ review: Can we try to play to win?
It was utterly sad to watch Rachelle tonight get completely and totally destroyed in the strategy department by someone who clearly has a much better understanding of how to play the game than her. Ika wasn’t a threat, and yet she is going out anyway. All Rachelle has done has kept herself safe until the jury. She’s not going to be in the final two, and she is not going to have Canada’s respect to go along with it.
While we don’t feel like Heather is trying to play the game, we did take some pleasure in watching her force Rachelle into being a walking hot dog this week. We knew that there was zero chance at all that Heather was going to keep that Veto necklace if she took it from Allison, so why not stick your mortal enemy with an embarrassing costume during her time as Head of Household? Very funny move.
It’s pretty clear that the First Five has this on lockdown, and that part of the game is ridiculously boring. But, we still were ridiculously entertained this time thanks to the return of Marsha the Moose, some fun editing, and also the characters. This is yet again a pretty good cast, and it was nice to see Talla again, even if she is a little more self-aware than she was the very first time she was in the game. Grade: B+.
