‘Big Brother Canada 2’ live feed spoilers: The mystery challenge and more

In closing tonight’s “Big Brother Canada 2” live feed action, we know now why there was a feed outage for a substantial period of the day. It was a new task, and while it may not have any bearing on who goes home this week, there was something that brings back terrible memories of what happened to Topaz during her instant eviction.

As a result of whatever task took place this afternoon, Ika ended up winning $5,000 and received some comfort from home. However, she also was put into a similar situation where she could talk game, and then the rest of the houseguests would hear what she was saying. We really don’t understand the producer fascination with this. Why in the world do you want to make contestants start to feel like they cannot trust the information that they give out in the house?

The only major reason that this is not anywhere near as bad for Ika as it was for Topaz is that it’s hardly like Ika is in a position to stay in the game. She knows that she will be evicted on Thursday, possibly in unanimous fashion. Therefore, there is really no way that speaking her mind hurts her. If nothing else, maybe it could do some good for the other players to hear a little bit of how they are perceived. If this wakes up at least one of the few players on the bottom of an alliance, this is a net positive for the show.

unfortunately, there’s not that much else of interest happening in the house right now. With the eviction being so obvious, there is very little reason for any hard strategy to take place until the next Head of Household is named. Most of the real plotting has already happened.
