‘Criminal Minds’ season 9 spoilers: The latest problem comes from home

Typically, “Criminal Minds” is a show that deals with problems that are almost always about one thing, and one thing only: The case at hand. Traditionally, there is not a whole lot of additional time spent on any of the characters’ home lives … at least not for a lengthy period of time.

Is there an episode coming up that looks to change that? You better believe it. The April 9 episode contains the rather unusual title of “What Happens in Mecklinburg…,” and in addition to the BAU having to deal with (yet another) kidnapping, there is also another problem as Morgan has to handle one of the understandable pressures of the job in being away from work often:

“A series of targeted kidnappings near Memphis have the BAU searching for a commonality between the missing persons and a motive to lead to the UnSub. Meanwhile, Savannah vents her frustration to Morgan about the amount of traveling he does for his job.”

Do we feel like there is going to be some sort of compromise made here? It’s possible, but the thing that Savannah will have to realize if she wants to stay with Morgan, and he wants to keep this job, is that travel is a necessary evil associated with it. This is something that is very hard for her to escape, since it requires you to basically go wherever there are extremely important cases that need to be figured out.
