‘Survivor: Cagayan’ preview: More questions of quitting emerge
There is one thing that no true “Survivor” fan wants to see: Someone make the decision to quit the game. Obviously, it’s so much easier for us to complain and mock someone when we are sitting comfortable from home watching them, but the facts remain the facts that you are still watching someone quit, when there are potential players at home who would’ve never done so.
So to see Lindsey sitting with Jeff Probst, seemingly at her own tribe beach, you know that there is a problem. Jeff doesn’t get called down unless there’s something pretty serious, and someone is making a big decision. If Lindsey is thinking about quitting (mostly because she doesn’t like Trish), we really just hope that Jeff is there for a pep talk, and to inspire her to do whatever she can in order to work her way back into the game.
If she does quit, it may be one of the most bizarre and suspicious exits that we’ve seen from the game. Think about this for a minute. In a matter of just a week’s time, there could be a merge upon us! That would be a great opportunity for Lindsey to move forward, and actually find a new alliance that suits her well. Just because Cliff is gone doesn’t mean that her game has to be over.
But this is “Survivor,” and it can be a very difficult game to try and navigate sometimes. Emotions get in the way of the right decisions, and if Lindsey really hates Trish so much that everything about her gets on her nerves, then she may not be thinking clearly. The version of her watching at home could be kicking herself now that she has some distance.
