‘Supernatural’ season 9, episode 18 preview: What we know about ‘Meta Fiction’

Did you love “Supernatural” tonight enough to hold on to it for a while? Let’s hope so, given that you are not going to see another episode on the air for some time.

As is usual for The CW at this time of year, there is a hiatus coming so that the show can wrap up the season with several consecutive episodes. Thanks to that, the next new episode “Meta Fiction” is not airing for three more weeks. It’s too far out to have an official synopsis or much else in the way of print details, but the synopsis below does provide you with something. You get an opportunity to see the return of Metatron, and the battle for Heaven seems to finally be heating up. (Hooray!)

In going back to the title, is this one of those “breaking down the fourth wall” episodes? We’re game for it, mostly because it has been a while since we’ve seen one of them. These can be a mixed bag, but the show has had some success with them in the past.

All in all, we’re still looking forward to finding out what this story brings to us. It certainly sounds as though it could be entertaining, but only tie will tell in this case. It’s far too early to pass judgment one way or the other. We will probably see some of the first details via a synopsis come out soon; for now, you’ll just have to hope that the synopsis satisfies everything that you are hoping for and then some.
