‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: Where will season 4 shoot?
After hearing almost nothing for the fourth season of “American Horror Story” for quite a long time, the past few days have almost been an avalanche of news.
Yesterday, we reported that the show was going to be entitled “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” and that the likes of Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, and Angela Bassett are for sure coming back for some more episodes. There are some more castings to be announced there, but it will take a little bit more time for all of the deals to be worked out.
According to NOLA.com now, we have official confirmation that despite being set in the town of Jupiter, Florida during the year 1950, the show will continue to be filmed in New Orleans like it was for “Coven.” The primary reason for that is something that almost any TV executive knows very well already: Cost. Louisiana offers nice tax breaks, and has become an ideal location for a number of TV shows and movies. States like it and Georgia have been able to move forward in a pretty big way in the entertainment industry thanks to some of these benefits.
This season will begin shooting in the months ahead, and will premiere on FX most likely in October. “American Horror Story” is a very success series for FX, and one that we certainly do not imagine going anywhere in the near future. We’ll just have to wait and see if they continue to rise to the occasion when it comes to quality. There were great moments when it comes to “Coven” (especially the finale), but the entire middle portion of it was a little muddled and confusing.
As always with all things “American Horror Story,” we will have more news and updates about it as it becomes available. You can also sign up in the event that you want more in your email via our CarterMatt Newsletter.
