‘Survivor: Cagayan’ rankings: The true impact of Trish teaming up with LJ, Jefra

LJ -While the new Aparri tribe on “Survivor:Cagayan” is a complete mess, the Solana tribe is at least a little bit easier to figure out. You basically have two alliances: A dominant one of four that just got rid of Cliff Robinson, and then a smaller one of two that is sitting firmly on the outside. Given that Woo can be somewhat flexible in his game, it is almost more like you have Lindsey facing off against everyone else.

So where do we rank all of the players now? As always, we take into account many things, with edit, strategy, and overall effectiveness leading the way. (Effectiveness means challenge performances, usefulness around camp, and having halfway decent social skills.)

6. Lindsey Ogle – There is no reason for her to be anywhere else right now.She is outside the numbers on her tribe, and based on the preview footage that we’ve seen, acts like she wants to beat Trish up. It’s very well possible that she could leave the game on her own accord.

5. Woo Hwang – We love Woo, but this is a hard time to be Woo. While he seems to be a good soldier and an easy ally who will not hold grudges, he is outside of the numbers right now. Plus, he will be a huge competition threat come the merge, and that may be an easy reason to want to get rid of him.

4. Tony Vlachos – As a character, we love Tony, but this move to flip and get rid of Cliff doesn’t have him in the best position moving forward. He better hope that Woo is not too mad at him, and that he has his other ally Sarah come the merge. The only other thing that he has in his pocket right now to help him is that immunity idol.

3. Jefra Bland – What Jefra has going for her now is simply that she is nobody’s target at all. Even if her new alliance is two Beauties and two Brawn, she won’t be the first person anyone goes after. Unfortunately for her, we do still feel like she lacks the strategic acumen needed to go far in the game.

2. Trish Hegarty – It will not shock us at all if we see Trish in the final three at the end of the season, pulling a Sherri and getting zero votes. The way that she is playing the game is not going to get respect from voters, even if we do admire her choice to flip, given that she was on the outs on her last alliance.

1. LJ McKanas – We’re going here based not only on who has the best chance at surviving this next week, but also who has the best chance to win. Numbers-wise, it is virtually impossible to get rid of LJ now before the merge. He also has an idol, and while not everyone on the Beauty tribe loves him, he’s got a nice four-person alliance now that can do damage.
