‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: See Mark Harmon, Emily Wickersham in ‘Crescent City’
The new photo that we have above is actually from the second part of the “New Orleans” episode, which you can read about in the full synopsis here. This one features Bishop (Emily Wickersham) working with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in the Big Easy, as they team up with Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) and the rest of the New Orleans team in an effort to try to uncover just what is behind an incident in the city that has left a trail of blood and evidence. Some of the other characters are going to be involved from afar, including Michael Weatherly’s Tony.
The obvious benefit of launching most of the “New Orleans” characters on the “NCIS” series proper is that it gives CBS a pretty risk-free environment to see what they think about many of the characters. It is easier to like someone right away when they are interacting with someone else that you like; plus, if the series is picked up by the network for a full season, you will have a head start here in comparison to all of the other new shows coming on. The network will probably not have a firm decision one way or another, at least most likely, until the upfront presentation in May.
What do you want to see take place on the “New Orleans” pilot: Great characters, a heavy emphasis on the setting, or a good use for the regular “NCIS” cast? Sorry folks, I really like Bishop and I think Gibbs loves Bishop…and that’s all that matters. The reason Gibbs took her was because she is a little bit smarter than the rest of the team. Why question his personnel decisions now?

anyone pick up on the comment by Brody toward the end re: the answer to her crossword? A three letter word for mistake? “Err”… clearly directed at Bishop. She is like someone’s kid sister who just keeps tagging along. She needs to go.

I am just going to find it hilarious when they realize they have ruined their own spinoff by bringing her because the new characters are not going to come off well when playing off someone that has no chemistry with anyone.

Why has Gibbs take a untrained agent like Bishop to New Orleans, when he has Tony and McGee back in DC. What are you thinking Glasberg just because she is your creation you don’t have to shove her down our throats all the time.

He probably thinks she is the best thing ever created despite the falling ratings of the last months.
Remember this is his first ever regular character and he wants to make sure that she is as loved as Ray, EJ, and Dr. Ryan. / sarcasm

I really don’t understand why Bishop has to be everywhere. What’s the thing with her?! More of the other characters please.

I have to laugh at the article above…’it is easier to like someone right away when they are interacting with someone else that you like….’ umm sure, and so WHY is Bishop with Gibbs in New Orleans again? Sending the LEAST liked new member is exactly the reason that I shall give this spin off a miss thank you. But, might be able to watch Tony and Tim in DC without her sitting on the floor between them now. Bonus !
Is not one at CBS aware of how much she is disliked ?

I can’t figure out why they are sending Bishop to New Orleans if they want to make the spinoff look good. But I do love the city, looks like they have an interesting cast, so I will check it out.
