‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: See Mark Harmon, Emily Wickersham in ‘Crescent City’

NCIS -

When it comes to major events quickly approaching on “NCIS” season 11, there are a pair of things in particular to keep a watch for: The two-part “Crescent City” spectacular (the backdoor pilot for the “NCIS: New Orleans” spin-off), and also the season finale. This is when the show plans to address the passing of Ralph Waite.

The new photo that we have above is actually from the second part of the “New Orleans” episode, which you can read about in the full synopsis here. This one features Bishop (Emily Wickersham) working with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) in the Big Easy, as they team up with Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) and the rest of the New Orleans team in an effort to try to uncover just what is behind an incident in the city that has left a trail of blood and evidence. Some of the other characters are going to be involved from afar, including Michael Weatherly’s Tony.

The obvious benefit of launching most of the “New Orleans” characters on the “NCIS” series proper is that it gives CBS a pretty risk-free environment to see what they think about many of the characters. It is easier to like someone right away when they are interacting with someone else that you like; plus, if the series is picked up by the network for a full season, you will have a head start here in comparison to all of the other new shows coming on. The network will probably not have a firm decision one way or another, at least most likely, until the upfront presentation in May.

What do you want to see take place on the “New Orleans” pilot: Great characters, a heavy emphasis on the setting, or a good use for the regular “NCIS” cast?
