ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 spoilers: A different struggle for Kerry Washington’s Olivia

Are you ready for more drama on “Scandal” season 3? We certainly hope so, given that drama seems to be one of this show’s biggest calling cards at this point. The biggest surprise of all would be if you were to watch an episode of the show and not see things going completely insane at some point.

The episode that we are here to talk about now is one that is almost ensured to be a little bit intense, if for no other reason than that the focus of it is going to be unexpected problems in Fitz’s campaign, and also Maya continuing to do some things to plot against the current White House establishment. Olivia’s mom has been reasonably quiet as of late, but you knew from the moment that she returned to Washington that this was not going to last forever.

All of this stuff happens in the penultimate episode of the season, which carries with it appropriately the title of “Flesh and Blood.” Want to know more? Then just read the official synopsis below (via Zap2It):

“The team must spring into action following a security breach; when Fitz’s campaign stalls, he thinks about going against Olivia’s suggestion; Maya and Adnan plan their next move.”

One thing we do wonder is if the security breach is tied in a way to the current in-shambles state of activities at the White House. Thanks to the death of James, Cyrus is hardly operating at full steam, and this has placed both Fitz and others in a position where they have been forced to watch after him. In some interviews already, Jeff Perry has suggested that we are going to see a great deal of “rage” come out of his character, and it will be interesting to see where the story unfolds from here.
