‘The Blacklist’ episode 17 spoilers: ‘Ivan’ confusion, and a preview of what lies ahead

The initial information we had suggested that Monday’s “Blacklist” episode was undergoing a title change to “Harrison Lee,” but there are now conflicting sources saying different things. For now, we’re going to stick with referring to it as “Ivan” until it is officially swapped on NBC’s website. (Update: It was “Ivan” on the episode.)

Regardless of whatever the name for this episode is (we strangely prefer “Ivan,” mostly because it is so short and mysterious), the details below from NBC still apply:

“When a new cyber defense asset gets stolen all roads lead to a Russian cyber terrorist known only as ‘Ivan'(guest star Mark Ivanir). With Red’s (James Spader) assistance, Liz (Megan Boone) discovers a huge cover-up. Meanwhile, new evidence surrounding the disappearance of Jolene (guest star Rachel Brosnahan) helps unravel some of the mystery behind Tom (Ryan Eggold).”

The promise surrounding this episode so far is that it is going to allow Liz to finally understand more of who her husband really is, but we also do not think that it’ll be enough to actually make her run the other direction (at least in the form of ending the marriage) just yet. How do we know that? Well, it’s all thanks to the news that is out there already about there being some sort of vow renewal taking place later on this season, which helps to further explain the arrival of Tom’s brother to the scene.
