‘The Blacklist’ spoilers: Looking to uncover the principal villain

While the numbers of the various Blacklisters is not something that every fan of “The Blacklist” really pays that close attention to from time to time, it is something that diehard fans have taken notice of.

This has of course led to a very important question being asked: Who is sitting at #1 on the list? In theory, this would be the most-notorious adversary of Raymond Reddington, and someone who he is desperate to take down in some way or another. It is a great subject to speculate over, but unfortunately, not something that you are going to get an answer on this year. Just take a look at what executive producer Jon Bokenkamp had to say on the subject in a new TVLine interview:

“I wish I could say yes, that we will discover No. 1 on the Blacklist this year, but unfortunately that’s not the case; Red has a much larger endgame in mind, and we won’t get there this year. That said, there is a methodology behind the rankings on the list and we will reveal a some larger truths about the names on the Blacklist before the end of the season.”

This may not be everything that every fan of the show wants to see, but it is still something that we are happy to find out. After all, it is definitely better than getting nothing. Hopefully along the way here, there will also be an answer or two on the subject that has really drove many fans insane: What is the connection between Reddington and Elizabeth Keen? Please don’t make it as simple as her just being his daughter, since this would be more predictable than ever.
