‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10, episode 16 review: Are April and Jackson in trouble?
“Grey’s Anatomy” season 10 has been all about change for most of its characters, and throughout most of the episode, we got a chance to see most of that from start to finish. After all, we had Cristina try to set Owen up on an online date, and Callie and Derek going from threatening litigation to each other to getting along again.
But once again, some of the biggest moves during the entire episode came in the form of relationships. Jackson and April has to deal with his mother first and foremost … and then had to deal with each other, as they fought over the way in which that their children would be raised. We feel like they are going to figure this out in time, but this is a symptom of getting married in an incredibly short period of time.
Elsewhere, Richard Webber had to try to figure out whether or not he really wanted to retire … which wasn’t that hard to figure out. He worried after Owen handed him a certain collection of papers, and luckily, he was actually offered a better position by Owen a little bit later on. So hooray for not losing Richard at the hospital!
All in all, this was a great episode for Alex / Jo fans, a quiet one for Callie / Arizona, and a good one for those who want to see some sort of solidarity between Callie and Derek. The drama is far from over, but we will have some more on what lies ahead soon. Grade: B.
