‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5 spoilers: Post-finale series like a ‘reboot,’ claims star
The more that we hear about the “Pretty Little Liars” season 4 finale, the more that we start to believe one thing: This is going to actually be an episode that really changes the game of what the series is. Rather than just giving us a few shocking moments that tide us over for something else, the game is actually going to be changed moving into the fifth season.
What are we talking about here specifically? Think along the lines of the fact that Alison DiLaurentis is about to become more of an actual “pretty little liar” than just a young woman in hiding from an evil force. Speaking per E! News on the subject of her character’s future, Sasha Pieterse (who has been a regular for the show for quite some time, even if occasionally under-utilized) had the following to say:
“The finale is jam-packed with craziness and there’s a lot that goes on … The fifth season is like a reboot, there’s so many great things that happen in the fifth season and there’s a lot of changes too.”
All in all, we see Alison being more thrown into this world as a good thing. This is an opportunity for the show to finally give us a new perspective, which is in turn a way to stop the writers from treading ground on the same stories time and time again. Take for example Spencer’s addiction, or Paige having constant trouble in her personal life. At least the latter story is not going to be much of a focus in Tuesday’s finale; instead, the story will revolve mostly around getting real answers from Alison, and figuring out if there is a way to finally draw her out of hiding after so much time.
The “Pretty Little Liars” cast was recently at PaleyFest to speak out more and more about the finale and season 5; for some more highlights on that, be sure to click here. Also, sign up at this link to get more news and updates courtesy of our CarterMatt Newsletter.
