‘Supernatural’ season 9 spoilers: Jensen Ackles teases Abaddon showdown

Has Abaddon been a worthy villain to you on “Supernatural” this season? The only thing that we have wished for the character as of late is mostly that she showed up a little bit more often. She and Metatron (who could also show up more) are the closest things that we have right now to Big Bads … unless you count Crowley, and we wouldn’t given that the character has actually been working with the Winchesters at times as of late.

So what does Jensen Ackles himself have to say about a potential showdown that is coming up very soon? Speaking per E! News, the man behind Dean Winchester was at least kind enough to share the following small tease on the story, and how it will not take long for the crazy meter to be adjusted up yet another notch:

“I will say that I do know that that will come to a head. There will be a blow out there, and Dean will get the fight that he’s been looking for.”

That sounds … awesome? Definitely. Abaddon is a worthy villain, especially since she is one of the few foes that can unite most of the other characters against her. The only downside is that you may have to wait a while for this fight to occur. There are other priorities in store seemingly for the next few episodes, including the one directed by series star Misha Collins. There is still a good chunk of “Supernatural” left to go this season, even when you include into the equation the backdoor pilot for the spin-off that now have the subtitle of “Bloodlines.” Therefore, there’s plenty of time to expect the unexpected to occur.
